The new Pickleweed has been a long time in coming. I had to find a CMS manager that I liked could use and like (Studio Press and Word Press) and then I need to change everything to reflect my style, it is still a work in progress. I chose a beachy theme since I now live by the ocean. I decided to have a professional logo done, what a stress reducer that was.
Pickleweeds Motto is:
“Quilt more, learn more and stay organized!”
These really go hand in hand. The more you learn, the more skills you have. The more you quilt the better your skills improve and the more you stay organized the more time you will have to learn and quilt.
In the new site I wanted to have items that benefit many and I didn’t want a site where I just rambled on about me. Not my style!! It is my intention to update each area of the site at least weekly once everything is set up.
I will start with organization in my next few posts. So stay tuned for some ideas that may help you as well.

One of the benefits that will help many is I went from a large sewing area to a much smaller room. (I do mean smaller).
So not only do I have to organize it but I have to maximize every inch of space. Along with that I also have to keep “earthquakes” in the back of my mind as we do have them here.
As I go through the various steps to show how I organize, I will post photos and the list of what I am doing here.
